Liberia YMCA Unveils Interim Strategic Plan

 The Liberia YMCA has unveiled an interim Strategic Plan. The plan was unveiled on April 1, 2017, the second day of the 46th General Assembly of the Liberia YMCA. Presenting the plan was the Development Secretary of the Liberia YMCA, E. Timotheus Kakaboakai.

Mr. Kamaboakai said the plan is built on three pillars: 

Pillar 1- Organizational Development, which deals with Board Development, Staff Capacity Building, Policies & Systems and Branch Development.

Pillar II of the Strategy looks at Youth Empowerment: which deals with Governance, Employment, Healthy Living and Education, while 

Pillar III focuses on Resource Mobilization of which Social Enterprise Development, Asset Development, membership and Capital Campaigns are the main focus. 

The plan will run for one year, 2017-2018, following which, a new Strategic Plan will be drawn up by the Liberia YMCA, in line with the Strategic Plan of the Africa Alliance of YMCAs. The last strategic Plan of the Liberia YMCA ran from 2012-2016.
